Question on loading Patterns

edited February 2014 in General
Hi there! I built the machine over the night and it's amazing!
But another night I spent on exploring features and challenging the manual. Everything works excellent, but only thing I can't get done is loading Patterns to the Pattern Set... It loads the new Pattern in the first  Pattern location (say, Pattern1), and, when in performance mode I activate Pattern 2, it's empty. So the question is - how EXACTLY sould I load a Pattern to other 7 Pattern locations?
And then how the Pattern Set is Saved and how it appears in Load Menu so I can Load it back later? The manual gives just generic info that all patterns in the set are saved in one file.

Please help someone! :D

  • The "pattern" concept means all 8 pattern slots. So when you load and save a pattern you are loading and saving into all 8 slots via one file. There isn't a way to load or save a single pattern.
  • Thanx, but I did save a single pattern, when finished programming it. And when I load it, it loads in the 1st slot, but I do not succeed to load patterns in other 7 slots. So that was a question - how to load patterns in other slots?
    Thank you!

You can only save and load a whole pattern set. A pattern set is a group of 8 patterns.
If you have programmed only one pattern and saved it, you get only this one pattern when you load the set.
If you have programmed two patterns and saved them, you get the two patterns when you load the set.
    And so on....
You can't load a single pattern to a particular slot.
  • Thank you! This explains a lot. BUT if I want a set of 8 patterns, how do I programm next Pattern, if previous is not saved? Should I just choose 2nd button in Pattern set?
  • In Performance Mode:
    Press and hold shift button.
Use the 8 select buttons to select the pattern you want to view/edit.
    Release shift button.
  • It depends. If you are in follow mode (FLW ON in settings) you will only see/edit the playing pattern. If you are not in follow mode ( FLW OFF) , you can edit pattern like cj55 said.

  • Great! Thank you! Will try out.
