changing note of instruments via CC?

Is this possible?

As you can steprecord different notes (pitch?) of an instrument into the LXR sequencer, is it also possible to do this with an external sequencer via cc or by using different midi channels for each instruments (play the notes (pitch) of one instrument on the keyboard )?

I always sequence the LXR by Cirklon - just using the LXR as wonderful drum sound generator

Have you looked at the MIDI section of the user manual?  Chapter 7.  I'm not sure if the MIDI note is mapped to a CC, but you can change oscillator tuning with CCs.
  • this would have been my second question if this is the only way to go and if there is a difference between using osc tuning as note change and the implemented note change values in the LXR sequencer (besides that these are quantized)?
  • The recording might need a bit of work (right now I think it's only recording with the fixed notes starting on C for the 7 drum sounds I think). The idea would be to have it honor the midi mode so that if you are in "Any" mode it would record the note as played on the voice that is set to the receiving channel. If you are not in "any" mode it would only record a note if you hit the note assigned to that voice on the channel associated with that voice. Thats my idea anyway.
  • good idea

... if this would be possible? :-)

  • Yes, I will probably mess around with that next.
  • great. I think this would make the sequence much more usable for synth sequencing.
