quicksave/autosave of current pattern

It happened to me again : I was having some lazy Saturday morning fun in my bed with a little techno pattern but the moment I wanted to save it I accidentally switched off the LXR because the PSU connector is quite sensitive...

So I was thinking that a good way of avoid these slightly painful situations would be to have some kind of "autosave" feature that enables you to come back directly to what you were doing before turning off the machine (accidentally or not).

Also I can't say if it's being used already but a way to implement it would be to use Shift+Record to save the current pattern without going through the naming process (like generating "Pattern01" "Autosave02" files, that can be renamed later on)

I have no idea if that's technically feasable though...

(PS : I think it has been discussed before but saving patterns + kits in a single file would be really handy too)

  • I think that would be a very useful feature too !
Just an autosave for the whole state of the machine would be very neat, like my Analog Four... like a swapfile or something...
  • I think this should be possible for kits, but for patterns it could be difficult, since it is much more data to handle.
    I have to try it.
