Basic pitch of the LXR

edited November 2013 in General
Maybe I missed something in the manual, but what is the basic pitch of the LXR when the coarse tune value is set to 0?
Each increment of the coarse tune value transposes the LXR by 1 semitone, right?

Comments

  • I've been trying to figure this out myself. The problem is that the pitch seems to change depending on the mod setting.

Isn't the coarse parameter related to the midi note number?

Example: midi note 36 corresponds to C1 (depending on definition), pitch 65,4 Hz

  • No. The coarse parameter affects only the pitch of the drum sound on the unit. The note parameter on the individual steps affects the midi note that is sent (and also alters the pitch of the drum sound).

  • there still seems tobe a buginthe pitch envelope (as stated in another thread) so maybe this seems to throw the tuning off?

The coarse controls adjust the tuning of a single oscillator and are semitones, just like the note control.
    fine is +/-50ct.

so with the note set to zero, the tune of the voice is determined by the coarsesetting of the single oscillators.

the pitch table that is used by the oscillators can be found in this file
