Hi all, Just posted a new vid of some messing around with the LXR along with a Volca Bass, Mopho and a few other sundry FX. Here is the link: http://youtu.be/ba8RDRmTp9s
I ask because you've assembled a dope arrangement that is very much to my taste here. I'm new to this hardware game and sometimes its difficult to decode exactly what it is that each is bringing to the collected whole.
Obviously the Mopho had to be part of that sick low end -- emphasizing the LXR kicks perhaps? And damn those were dope after the pedal switched on... And whatever filter that Shruthi is sporting sounded sick too... Is the Shruthi bringing in some extra sauce as well? Maybe I've misread the whole thing?
Welcome to my brain after drinking the potion...
All those ellipses represent my mind tumbling through infinite possibilities during the composition of my earlier comment until quickly spilling into an abridged version I posted earlier. Of course I recognize the right of magicians to keep secrets, so I won't be offended if you hold anything back
Thanks for the comments. No secrets here... I'm sending the LXR to two outputs. The kick drum is bussed to the big muff pi pedal (which gives it that energy) and then to the kaoss pad, the rest of the drum sounds are bussed to the Kaoss pad. I'm using tracks 2 and 3 on the LXR for sequencing only (ie, they are not producing any sounds on the LXR, just sending midi notes). One of these tracks is sequencing the mopho (the one lead sound) the other is sequencing the shruthi (the more bell-like sound). Shruthi goes thru an analog delay (cheap behringer $30). The bass sound is coming from the Volca Bass. This is running through a hardwire reverb pedal. The LXR is supplying midi sync to the Volca Bass, but is not sequencing it. So really the LXR is the center of this setup and supplies the sync and the sequencing and all the drums.

How do you sequence the different machines?
Are they all synchronized by an external midi clock?
