DSP bug in post mod decay

I've found an issue, and excuse me if it's been reported before:
The sound after the decay portion of the mod in voice one (maybe other voices) seems arbitrary. To reproduce:
- Add a single hit on step 1 for voice 1
- edit voice 1 and set the following (left to right):
Coarse 49
Fine 49
Wave Sin
Amp Attack 0
Amp Decay 61
Amp Slope 54
Mod decay 1
Mod slope 98
mod 106
dest coa
amt 0
vol on
- The rest of the settings dont matter as long as the filter is open all the way.
- Now start adjusting the mod decay, I observe the following:
There seems to be no consistency with the post-decay portion of the sound. for example, set decay to 17 and you get a steady tone. Set it to 18 and you get a different tone, set it to 19 or 20 and you get silence, set it to 21 and you get a low tone. It seems like the actual tone after the decay portion is arbitrary.

Comments

  • confirmed and added to the list
  • should be fixed in the next update.
mod envelope value was not limited to 0 and could get to negative values if the decay setting was fast enough.
  • Great. I've verified that its fixed :-)
