I did several imports from New Zealand and Australia, and ship also various stuff to foreign countries. There I learned, that I have to use parcels, which are intended for beeing reopened several times (@julian: I simply recommend the "DHL-Packset"). Also the following hints might be interesting: * Don't put parts loose in the parcel. I'd attach all the plastic bags and the IC holder to a millboard with tape or a tacker. * Always use clear tape, which does not hide the slots where you open the parcel. * I make make a flap at the end of the adhesive tapes that close the parcel. The flaps are marked with "open here for inspection". * I place some tape to the area, where the closing tape will stick on. So you can always reopen the parcel without damaging the tape or the parcel.
All this eats time and will make the international shipping more expensive, but it is worth the effort.
i tried to find out what happened the other day and sent the pictures and documents to them but still nobody at the postal service can explain it but i read a lot people ranting about the norwegian post missing parcels/returns etc. on the other side, the 2nd batch kit came quicker through than expected.
