It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
shortkeys:
1. press, hold pattern1, press pattern2, release both - you get a 2 bar loop.
press, hold pattern1, press pattern8, you get an 8 bar loop...... and similar
(now solution yet, how to come back to a one bar pattern)
The question for me would be if it would be cool, if you just did your first pattern, then expand the pattern to a longer number of bars with the described shortcut, then should the content from pattern1 automatically get copied into all the patterns, you want to expand??? like this you never get a silence in your performance
if you wanted to go the straight way with the second bar as empty bar, you could go the way it is right now. or you even get the possibility with the help of shift + pattern not only to have "Rpt" and "nxt", but also "lst" for "last" to be able to come faster to a higher number of bars for your loop.
2. don't know, if this was possible at all... A/B pattern for each pattern??
you set your steps, then in perf mode, press the current bar again, led blinks, you are in B pattern now, pattern A was copied automatically with this press to pattern B. you make variation steps then.
Now you have much much joy switching instantly at the next possible step to the variation/original pattern A or B.
of course, this depends on the power of cpu etc...
3. in perf mode, press shift + desired next pattern - pattern switches at the next possible step to one step forward in selected pattern!
this would be also much fun, which gives you lots of variation possibilities.
...hmmm, just saw, there is already the repeat and next menu!
perhaps, one could make: repeat - next - last - instantly (or similar, would be just on-off) into this menu?
But I think, a spontaneous possibility for this function would be most fun, just to be able to throw in a variation or bridge to the next selected pattern
4. for the future, I'd really like to be able to make the roll functions for each instrument on its own. then one could set up the interval (- the offbeat repeat intervals are still missing!!:-D ...like 3,7,11,15 for 1/4, 2/4/6/8/10/12/14/16 for 1/8 etc), and one would play the velocity of a single instrument with another poti during this roll!
or you make another poti for the "offbeat" function. just on-off.
then one could live play in complete beats whilst varying repeat number, on/offbeat and velocity
what I really like as it is right now (with OS 0.22) - don't know, if it's a bug or a feature - that you can freeze your roll without recording it by pressing e.g. "voice" during playing a roll!!
thats all for now.. perhaps there are still other simple ways to achieve this?
best, youkon
