I looked at the diff and this looks good. Glad someone else is coding on this box too. When you consider the feature complete, let me know and I'll merge it into my fork as well.
@MaxDFB It's not as hard as you think. Just come up with a good sound set and a good pattern, copy the pattern to a new pattern slot and alter it a bit for variety. Then play around with muting and unmuting different sounds and switching between the…
Cool. I like it. How do you want the tracks submitted?
Maybe we should make a new post with all the details so we get more publicity and everything is spelled out.
Yeah, I can't get by without reverb and delay these days. Also have been experimenting last few days with running the LXR through a Proco Rat which sounds great on kick/snare.
Yeah I would expect that we should be able to remove boring sections (where we are drinking our beer instead of twiddling knobs), and also any screw ups, but not go in and chop up and rearrange stuff on the computer. The listener should have the con…
Are we going to establish that the songs should be done without overdubs or splicing? In other words do we want to show what's possible in a "live" session, or what's possible in a production session using only an LXR?
Interesting idea, but how would one select the multiple voices from an interface perspective (without it becoming unintuitive?). Maybe let the voice buttons become select buttons when shift is held?
I've looked at this a little bit, and might play with it. My concern now is that you might get a storm of CC messages when a patch is loaded. But maybe that is desirable in the case of a patch editor?
Interesting ideas @drkorg. The reason I didn't tie the start point to the encoder was because I wanted to be able to precisely and instantaneously jump to a specific position. The humanize idea is an interesting one, and might bear some playing arou…
It doesn't include everything. Look on this page: https://github.com/rudeog/LXR
Where it says "Here is a list of current changes" toward the middle of the page, it lists things that have not yet been merged into the official FW. I have updated the c…
Make sure you downloaded the firmware correctly. You should have a file about 250k in size. There are issues with downloading from github, you need to use the "raw" link.
This is a great idea. Another idea I had was to agree on a BPM and have as many people as we can contribute say 8 or 16 measures at that BPM, then someone mixes them all into a seamless track. Might be good to showcase on this site.
Sounds like we have a volunteer with some incentive to create some autoconf/automake scripts! I'll be happy to merge your changes into my repository when you have them. ;-)
