I saw billies do the same(all leds light on boot) when I was over his house trying to fix mine.

another wierd thing I noticed is if I disconnect the mainboard and boot the led lights up for "copy" then goes off after the boot. And its only intermitten not every time I recycle power. This is the only time Ive ever seen a LED light up.

not sure if this means anything but on pin 9 and 10 of U2 there is continuity between the cap pads that are adjacent to each one but on u3 its only pin 9 that has continuity to the cap pad its next to. pin 10 doesnt have continuity to the cap pad it…

yes all 6 data lines I tested with power off. No shorts. Also yes pots and encoder stay working all the time. Like we said previously my avr in billies unit worked perfectly.

did you also try to measure if there is no continuity between the different DIN/DOUT lines? It's best done on the expansion header, since there all are available next to each other. The only exception would be the 2 data lines, since they are only c…

if I remove all ICs except u2 and u3 and the 4050 should I be able to click the first 8 buttons in the seq and the leds light up?? I would like to insert the least amount of ICs to get something. I would think this is it right? Im just guessing here.
